Adalberto Garcia began playing the Violin in elementary school in his hometown of Sylmar, CA. Later, while attending middle school, he joined the school’s newly formed mariachi ensemble as the first and only violin player. While attending middle school, Adalberto participated in the Tucson International Mariachi conference in 1992 and the Inaugural San Jose International Mariachi Conference in 1993, where he shared the stage with some of the nation’s most prestigious mariachi ensembles. In high school, Adalberto began to play professionally with a local mariachi group. He then attended California State University, Northridge where he received his Bachelor’s Degree, and at the same time, cofounded Mariachi Este Es Mi Mexico.

After graduating from college in 2003, Adalberto moved to Las Vegas, NV to pursue a teaching career with the Clark County School District teaching the Mariachi Genre at Jim Bridger Middle School. In 2004, he helped organize the first Clark County School District Mariachi Conference and Festival.   While in Las Vegas, he continued to perform professionally with Mariachi Plata De Las Vegas. In 2011, Adalberto shared the stage with the Nevada Pops and Jose Hernandez, Director of Mariachi Sol De Mexico.

Currently, Adalberto continues to teach Mariachi music at Sunrise Mountain High School and at CSN.
